Like chewing a breeze block
2Bought these to stop myself buying chocolate bars at work, unfortunately I now need time off to visit the dentist as they have destroyed most of my teeth. So hard to chew that even a shark would have a hard time swallowing them, and with the jaw workout you get from these you could end up with a chin like Quagmire. After using bolt cutters to make a bite-size chunk, the flavour disappeared after the first 30 seconds of chewing, so I was left with a bland tasting pebble for the next half hour. The only thing that makes them palatable is chucking them in the microwave for 20 seconds to soften them up. Decent nutrition, and good cardio trying to chew them, won't be buying again though.Goes Well With:A dentist, metal teeth, and a microwave.

Amazing
5Awesome flavour! Mixes well in milk and water. Great value and it’s extremely effective. Seeing result already only after 4 days. Long story short this product is a must buy for chocolate lovers. Awesome Jaw Workout
1This bar gives you an amazing jaw workout. It takes about six bites to eat one so I recommend 6 sets off 60 chews. These bars are tough! I've never experienced DOMS in my teeth before until I ate one of these bars. There is little or no taste in these bars, they are strictly down to business with the macros delivering clean carbs and protein with the oats and whey. If im honest, even though they are boring to eat, I'd prefer this type of bar over some artificially sweet one with all that fake caramely cr*p! I wouldn't buy this again purely down to the solid texture, if they improved this and made it softer then it would be a regular purchase for me even thought they are tasteless.Goes Well With:Hammer and chisel, jack hammer, axe

Addictive
5I am totally addictivd to these bars. They are a great protein bar to have at any time of the day to keep that protein up and dont contain tons of sugar, and at a great price. Please please please do not stop making these bars..... Yes they do take a bit of getting used to but once you get used to them they are great!

Awful taste, rock hard texture
1I read some of the other reviews but I normally like oaty stuff so thought how tough can it be, and how bad can choc chip taste? Answer is 'very' to both. I was expecting maybe a tough flapjack texture but this is a lot harder, and strange chemical taste that doesn't taste like choc chip at all. Macros are good but you can get those with lots of other bars here that are actually edible. Get a trial bar if you really want to chance it but I'd go with any other bar here.

5First time user, and have to say these bars are absolutely awesome!! Taste is great and very enjoyable helps keep you full and a great snack when your stuck for time or a busy carpet fitter like myself. Love them and will order again very soon....

Improved recipe - easier to chew
5I've been an avid fan of these bars for a couple of years now. They definitely do the job in terms of not being too sugary and being so stuffed with oats and protein to not only keep me full for hours and basically being a meal in itself, but also helping me with doing the number two. However, it was very true that only Jaws from James Bond would be able to comfortably chew through them, especially the Chocolate chip one; the Salted caramel taste was a tiny bit softer. But I still felt like I had grown additional mouth muscle after chewing through them. I have just opened my latest pack and definitely noticed a change in the recipe, as the bar is now almost to a human level of chewiness. It is still harder than other bars (eg the 6 layers one, or the Cereal bar), which is probably due to the oats, but it is MUCH more comfortable on the jaw. Definitely an improvement!
