Was a bit thin with hot water added, tastes better with some Amarula in it.Goes Well With:Amarula - the fruit that gets elephants drunk and then they smash up villages.
I read a lot of reviews before my products arrived. I mixed the protein hot mocha with skimmed milk and hot water (like I would a coffee) and shook in the mixer. It has mixed after less than 30seconds of shaking and tastes fantastic! I am so surprised with all the reviews saying it didn't mix.
I ordered a sample sachet of this to try. I mixed it with mostly whole organic cows milk and a little water using a fork. There were no lumps and it was real easy to mix with just a fork alone. Then heated it up in the microwave as advised on the packet. Result was a high protein hot mocha, which was great! I do wish it was slightly less sweet, perhaps I will try less powder or more milk/water with the other sample sachet I have. I don't regularly have coffee so this is good for me to have once in a while and get that protein hit with it too! I'm not keen on making my own protein hot drinks due to the risk of rendering the protein ineffective by heating it incorrectly so I'm glad this exists. Overall I'd definitely recommend this, try a sample sachet first?Goes Well With:On it's own is good enough or with a biscuit as a treat?
This is both impossible to mix and drink. The taste is just awful. Mixability is nonexistent. Just get a proper mocha and have your protein shake separately. Goes Well With:Nothing.
Absolutely love this mocha. I mix a scoop with a little skimmed milk just to get it mixed a bit. Then pour in boiling water and keep mixing. It tastes really lovely. A definite if you like chocolate and also your coffee. Lovely stuff.
I've made hot drinks with Impact Whey Protein before by slaking the powder with cold water then topping up with hot but as this was marketed as a hot drink I'd hoped it woud be easier to make up. Disappointingly it appears no different to making a hot drink with the whey protein - the proteins bind into lumps if water too hot - plus if left to cool it settles and forms a sludge. As for the taste, a strong artificial sweetness and a rather weak coffee taste. I was hoping for a good coffee kick.
I brought this product in the hype that it would eventually replace my coffee. However, this product is awful. Mixes really badly. People say to blend it first, I'm not doing that everyone I want a coffee. It's like the worst lumpy custard skin texture you had at school. URGHHHHHHHHGoes Well With:The bin
So I was nearly put off buying this product because of a lot of the reviews saying how lumpy it could be. But I used a few tips from some helpful reviews and decided to blend 25g with 200mls of almond milk and then heat for 90 seconds in the microwave and WOW. So delicious and creamy- could not recommended more!
I had once bought a sample of this product and it was perfect. Mixed amazingly and tasted great, very impressed! Since I’ve bought the actual product I’m a bit underwhelmed. I have to mix it a good 2/3 times after adding the water and all the way throughout the drink. Making it a pain to consume and more effort than the sample had demonstrated..Goes Well With:Protein Brownie
Ordered a sample pack of this, had it cold- blended in a nutribullet with 200ml of milk and as much ice as I could pack into a standard nutribullet cup. The ice made it too thick to drink so I added cold water until it yielded just under a litre of cold, thick drink- it was like a Starbucks blended drink. I haven't tried it hot yet but it was good cold so I will be ordering more. Goes Well With:ice, milk
