Carbohydrates contribute to the recovery of normal muscle function (contraction) after highly intensive and/or long-lasting physical exercise leading to muscle fatigue and the depletion of glycogen stores in skeletal muscle. This beneficial effect is obtained with the consumption of carbohydrates, from all sources, at a total intake of 4g per kg body weight, at doses, within the first 4 hours, and no later than 6 hours, following highly intensive and/or long-lasting physical exercise leading to muscle fatigue and the depletion of glycogen stores in skeletal muscle.

The carbohydrates in Instant Oats will contribute to muscle recovery† after high intensity and/or endurance exercise. Therefore in order to replenish muscular glycogen stores we recommend adding 2 1/3 large scoops (100g) to 150-250ml of water or your favourite beverage in a Myprotein shaker within 4 hours of exercise. †Beneficial effect is obtained through consumption of carbohydrates, from all sources, at a total intake of 4 g per kg body weight, at doses within the first 4 hours and no later than 6 hours of exercise.

not the best

texture is very bitty and feels like you drinking lumps of flour (even when you shake it well) overall quite disappointed as you have to force yourself to drink it rather than enjoying it.

Easy to use and does the job

I mix it with some water and shake it in my shaker by hand. Mixes easily, although some of it tends to sit at the bottom of the cup which is why I need to keep stirring it as I go through it. But it’s fairly easy and doesn’t consume time at all. Been using it for years now, still do!

Don’t Bother

Super disappointed with this. Bought to make porridge but the oats don’t mix well and have the consistency of glue when made into porridge. Definitely won’t be buying again - total waste of money.

Not what I expected

I was expecting to get a real oat flavor but I don’t  find any similarity. Hard to mix it without a hand blender. It could be good for baking or anything that you want to do with oat flour but won’t use it for breakfast as a bowl of porridge.

Horrible! Completely Ruined!!

Don't know what you've done to the recipe but it's ruined now. Use to be able to mix it with milk in the mornings for breakfast, but can't get past halfway without gagging now due to the horrible grainy texture whereas it was smooth before. Sort it out now!

Used with the usual shaker - let's just say the shake is more pleasant without the oats. It's bearable and, though maybe a placebo, does make me feel more energised; however, saying that the oats mix well is an understatement. The difference between a shake with and without the oats is night and day. It is though you can feel each individual oat.

Good boost use mine for breakfast with granola cereal and protein Krispies and even hav a banana sliced up with it  keeps me goin all thru the day
