Every weekend my family requests pancakes and I thought that this mix would be an ideal way for me to join in without all the sugar etc... in regular pancakes. Sadly, these had quite an overpowering chemical taste (probably the sweeteners) and gave me a very upset stomach. Unfortunately this wasn't a once off and happened when I tried them a second time just in case. I will stick to making my own with protein powder now. Would not recommend. Goes Well With:With the bog and some loo paper.
I've bought unflavoured pancake mix a it tastes really good. It's super easy and fast to prepare it. Great for late night dinners.Goes Well With:Berries, Thicker protein mix.
Love this pancakes. I have just placed another order. They taste really good. A slight bit dry, but just add some syrup or honey and they are fine. It mixes really well. I got 2 big pancakes out of 2 scoops. Very filling. Would highly recommend. Goes Well With:Honey. Fruits. Chocolate! Lovely on their own too.
These do have a somewhat rubbery texture but for the low calorie high protein content they are amazing! I would definitely recommend having these with with something that would counteract the dryness, I had dark chocolate and then a warm blueberry sauce. I had golden syrup flavour and will certainly be purchasing again. One serving let me have 3 large pancakes which with a topping was very filling!Goes Well With:Fruit, syrup, dark chocolate
Didn’t know what to expect with this mixture however was very surprised by the quality of the taste, there was no overpowering protein flavour. The mixture also mixed very well and left no lumps of pancake mixture. Overall very pleased with how they taste, will be buying again.
Easy to make, good flavor but a bit too sweet for me. I will try to order unsweetened powder next time ;) And I feel like they are a bit thick but that's not regular pancakes.
Just got my pancake mix today and just gave it a try! cooks very quickly, nice and easy! chose the chocolate flavour and it goes very well with my peanut butter and jam! I mixed it with water ;) im a happy girl with a happy breakfast! Goes Well With:peanut butter and home made jam
Good protein source for a breakfast favourite. A great base for lots of different pancake combinations. May be a little sweet for some, but for me it means I don't need to add anything in the way of sweeteners!
These pancakes taste great!! Mixed two scoops with 150ml of milk and followed cooking instructions. Perfect pancakes with a beautiful golden syrup flavour and they pack some serious protein. Will definitely be making this a part of my everyday breakfast routine. Goes Well With:Mix with blueberries, raspberries etc....
So obviously I was aware these wasn’t going to taste like normal pancakes. I went for the maple flavour which for me was a bit too sweet which is why I’m trying chocolate next time. It was pretty easy to mix and cooking time isn’t long at all so very quick and easy effective high protein snack. Sometimes did taste a bit like egg , again don’t know if it was the certain flavour . But for the price you can’t go wrong and the protein content is excellent, overall a strong 3.5/5 Goes Well With:I top mine with yoghurt and fruit or peanut butter and honey and they’re good to go
I got the unflavoured pancake mix, i made it and it tasted like dry scrambled egg- not so great. I decided to add 1 tablespoon of honey to the 2scoop pancake mix and then fry it, topped it off with bananas, quark and a bit of peanut butter. I can honestly say its one of the best breakfasts ive ever hard. You can't taste the honey, it just makes it a little bit sweeter. Goes Well With:HONEY
Was hard to mix, consistency was quite thick mixed with 150-200ml of milk. Far too sweet and left a sweet taste in my mouth for an hour. I ate with yoghurt to try and bring the sweetness down...didn't work! If you have a sweet tooth then you may like them!Goes Well With:Nothing!
I've been using MP products for the last three months and I couldn't be more satisfied. After jumping from one brand to another, I'm happy I finally found the one. The flavours of the protein powders are amazing, they mix perfectly in water and they give you a nice protein boost. Absolutely recommended!
Whilst this mix is really easy to mix up just by adding a bit of milk, the taste is not very nice at all. I have both golden syrup and chocolate. They only take a few minutes to fry but the final product is very dry and rubbery. I have eaten them on numerous occasions for breakfast now just to use up the mix seeing as it's paid for, but each time it leaves me feeling nauseous throughout the morning. They do not feel like a treat at all, more like a punishment. I've even bought two of the syrups (butterscotch and chocolate) to try and make them more appetising but this made them even worse as the syrups taste disgusting - nothing like they're supposed flavours. Goes Well With:Nothing
So in theory, great idea, but in practice, not so much. Nice and chocolaty, yes, easy to make, not necessary to have a lot of ingredients in, yes, but the taste? Does not make it worth it. Slightly better texture than if eatting cardboard... Resembles a real pancake and yes, is edible, but honestly, wouldn't take another packet if they offered it for free. Goes Well With:Nutella, a lot of it to cover up the chewy cardboard taste...
I tried them as pancakes as well as crepes and I can honestly say with the minimal amount of effort you need to put to make them and decent taste on top the mix is definitly worth a buy. Maple syrup flavour is nice and sweet but not sickly sweet. If you like a sweet post workout snack give this flavour a try. Although you can taste the egg a little while eating I think it shouldn't be a big deal consideing amazing macros! Pretty content :) Goes Well With:Almond milk, cinammon, toppings of your choice
My boyfriend and I tried a small pack of the golden syrup pancakes. We followed the suggested mixing quantities and found them to be way too dry, dense and chewy. Then we tried mixing double the amount of milk to make a crepe-type pancake which was spot on texture-wise. Taste-wise, they were much too sweet, so we will try the larger pack of unflavoured pancake mix next time and maybe use the MyProtein maple syrup to moisten them.
Love them. Makes the perfect protein pizza base in 2 minutes. Cook them just like a regular pancake. Then top each with pizza ingredients and grill for delicious individual protein pancakes.
the golden syrup taste is toooooo sweet!
I bought the pancake mix as it was on offer. Previously I had tried similar mixes witg different brands and found them messy to use! However, this mix was so simple and tasted great! The only criticism I could find is that there isn't a lot in the packet compared to the size of the bag it comes in.Goes Well With:Sugar free syrup
