Well, COULD IT? My girlfriend has a habit of drinking soy sauce out of the bottle and even she thought the salt content was over the top. Buy this if: you're suffering from a catastrophic crash in blood sodium levels and are about to fall into a coma or die. Don't buy this if: you once accidentally swallowed a mouthful of water from the Dead Sea and would rather not relive the experience. On a more general note, totally onboard with MP producing more savoury high-protein snacks (as much as I have a sweet tooth, endless flapjacks and protein shakes can get a little tiresome). Just, y'know, go easy on the seasonings.Goes Well With:Salt-induced hypertension.
I'm a true fan of the protein shakes but the soup was a big let down. Very bland in taste and doesn't mix very well. Won't be buying again.
Little more to say than the title. The flavour of the beef soup is Just Plain Strange. It doesn't taste like beef for sure. That said, it doesn't taste unpleasant. It's just really odd. The soup is nice and thick and adding a sprinkling of dried mixed herbs helped a lot, but I wouldn't re-order this particular flavour. Goes Well With:Herbs. Lots of them. Maybe garlic. Anything to change the taste!
Had the Mediterranean Tomato Soup. Must say giving it a good long stirring is essential, it doesn't just magically turn into soup. The look of it is not very pleasing to the eye, but it's what's inside that counts. Smells and tastes much better than it looks. Approaching this with an open mind would be my best advice to others. Goes Well With:Crackerbread
Sadly not nice at all, still lumpy no many how much i try and tastes like a bowl of slightly flavored sand. Sorry myprotein! Think i'll stick to homemade with a protein shake. Goes Well With:The bin.

I've tried the chicken and the beef soups so far (have yet to try the tomato and the thai green curry). The chicken was pretty flavourless, but the beef had a bit more clout to it. Both look like gruel; the texture is a bit weird as it doesn't mix very well. The more water you add, the thinner it gets (duh) but I do like my soup quite thick so that might have had an impact on the texture. I've used as a hot alternative to shakes for my lunch, which does make a difference when trying to stick to a VLCD - you can get sick of shake after shake, and crave something hot. I'm going to wait until I try the other two flavours to decide whether I'd buy these again (I bought a sample of each to test), but if you want a hot alternative to shake meal replacement they're worth a try. Goes Well With:A solid gag reflex. Closed eyes.
