This protein gives good results and 30g mixes well with half a cucumber, an apple, some ginger and mint and about 400ml of filtered water for a healthy start to the day, or instead of apple, any fruit of your choice - banana is a good alternative too.. I've tried mixing it in with oats, but the taste isn't great, so find a smoothie masks the powderiness better. Would I recommend it?...Yes Any drawbacks?...Yes. I wish My Protein could include the source of this product as, the current batch is from China and I prefer not to buy it because of the standards there. What would help?...Please could the country of origin be included on the website for all products in a spirit of openness and clarity for the consumer? Goes Well With:Filtered water, half a cucumber, piece of fruit of your choice, some ginger and mint, flaxseeds or whatever else is your preference tastewise.....
Actually I bought pea protein, brown rice protein and hemp protein in different packages. First I tried them separately mixed with water. It has a grainy consistency to it and it just tastes like pea soup. Though not really fond of the taste, I now mix it with a bowl of warm brocoli soup and it goes wonderfully. Goes Well With:Water, brocoli soup
My major problem with supplements and powdery things is the taste. This tastes like nothing, which is perfect. I can add it to anything, get the protein in, and not even feel it. Yay.
A great vegan protein source, it's just a real shame it's more than TRIPLE THE PRICE per kg compared with the non organic variation on offer! Seems very unreasonable, perhaps taking advantage of those who want to stick with an organic diet?
Thought I would try the organic pea as I only wanted a small pouch to try. The taste is quite earthy as you would expect and not unpleasant. It is a very fine powder which mixed well. I added a scoop (23g) to a fruit smoothie and although I could taste the powderyness slightly, it was by no means overbearing or unpleasant. It is unsweetened so those with a big sweet tooth may want to add more sweetener to counteract this but I really didn't mind it! I can see it would go well in savoury soups etc.Goes Well With:Smoothies, soups
